The unincorporated community of Crawford Crossing is located in the town.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 1,828 people, 685 households, and 500 families residing in the town.

21.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
