Barak Ravid (Hebrew: ברק רביד) is an Israeli journalist and a CNN political and foreign policy analyst.
At age 18 he was drafted to the Israeli army, serving in the signals intelligence division of Unit 8200.
[7][8] He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern history from Tel Aviv University.
[1][12] In September 2014, Ravid came out against 43 fellow reservists of Unit 8200 who publicly refused "to take part in actions against Palestinians and refuse to serve as tools in deepening the military control over the Occupied Territories".
[13] In April 2024, Ravid won the White House Press Correspondents’ Award, which he personally received from President Joe Biden.
