Barbara G. Ryder

Barbara G. Ryder is an American Computer Scientist noted for her research on programming languages and more specifically, the theoretical foundations and empirical investigation of interprocedural compile-time analysis.

in applied mathematics from Brown University in 1969.

in computer science from Stanford University in 1971 and a Ph.D in computer science from Rutgers University in 1982.

She then joined the Department of Computer Science at Rutgers University as an assistant professor in 1982.

In 2008, she moved to Virginia Tech as head of the Department of Computer Science.
