Barbara Halpern Strachey (17 July 1912 – 15 October 1999 in Oxford, England) was a British author.
[1] Barbara Strachey was born to parents Oliver Strachey, a cryptographer in World War I and World War II, and the feminist politician, writer, and amateur painter Ray Strachey.
[1] She studied history at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University.
After the death of her brother, the computer scientist Christopher Strachey, she moved to a small house in Jericho, Oxford in 1975.
