Barik Rud-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان باريك رود شمالی)[a] is in the Central District of Fereydunkenar County, Mazandaran province, Iran.

[3] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Firuzabad,[4] now a neighborhood of the city of Fereydunkenar.

[5] In the following census of 2011, there were 3,914 inhabitants in 1,235 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Fereydunkenar County.
