Barringer (lunar crater)

It is attached to the north-northeastern rim of the walled basin named Apollo, and lies to the southeast of Plummer.

This crater is generally circular in form, with a slight outward bulge along the western rim.

The outer rampart of ejecta spills over slightly into the Apollo basin floor, but the remainder of the rim lies in rugged irregular ground.

At the midpoint is a central peak formation with a pair of tiny craters to either side: east and southwest.

By convention these features are identified on lunar maps by placing the letter on the side of the crater midpoint that is closest to Barringer.
