Basanta Bahadur Kunwar is the 30th Inspector General of Nepal Police.

[4] Kunwar was promoted to Additional Inspector General of Police on 10 March 2024.

The Council of Ministers on Friday appointed Kunwar on 24 March 2024 by superseding other 4 officers.

[5] He will retire on 19 March 2025 in line with the regulatory 30- year service term.
