[3] The city of Beaverton is located to the northeast of the township, but the two are administered autonomously.

[4] As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,815 people, 658 households, and 534 families residing in the township.

There were 750 housing units at an average density of 21.2 per square mile (8.2/km2).

There were 658 households, out of which 37.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.0% were married couples living together, 7.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.8% were non-families.

16.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
