[8] The Tittabawassee River flows south directly through the center of the township, and Wixom Lake occupied the southwestern corner of the township until the Edenville Dam failed in May 2020 and drained the reservoir.

There were 1,172 households, out of which 24.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.1% were married couples living together, 9.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.5% were non-families.
