Bekka is the daughter of Himon, a scientist who created the Mother Boxes and discovered the "x-element" that fuels Metron's Mobius Chair.

For many years, Bekka and Himon live undercover on Apokolips while organizing a rebellion against Darkseid before the latter is killed while rescuing Orion's mother Tigra.

In the storyline "Torment" in Superman/Batman #37–42 (August 2007–January 2008), Bekka helps Batman rescue Superman from DeSaad.
