Evardone was a former journalist, who worked with Jose Burgos the cover the last few years of the Marcos dictatorship.
[1] Evardone unsuccessfully ran as representative of Eastern Samar in 1995.
[2] Then, Evardone ran as district representative in 2010 and won, serving as the Congressman of Eastern Samar for 3 terms.
Evardone ran for governor in 2022; he also actively voiced his support for then-vice president Leni Robredo's presidential campaign.
[3][4] He later switched to Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, the party chaired by President Bongbong Marcos.
