Benjamin James Trott (born 14 March 1975) is a former English professional cricketer.
[1] Trott made his first-class cricket debut for Somerset at the beginning of the 1997 season, having first played for the Second XI in 1995.
[2][3] He has a degree in Physical Education and Information Technology and qualified as a primary school teacher before being signed by Kent ahead of the 2001 season.
He Trott retired as a professional in December 2004 to become the manager of the club's study support centre.
[4] He left this post in 2006 to set up his own sports coaching and fitness training business[5][6] before working for Kent Sport at the University of Kent as Assistant Operations Director.
