[2] He broke his left leg playing soccer in gym class in fifth grade and had surgery to rebuild his foot.

[1][8] Washburne made his international debut at the 2023 World Rowing Championships and won a silver medal in the PR3 Mixed coxed four event with a time of 7:25.01.

[9][10] On January 19, 2024, he was selected to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Paralympics.
