Benjamin Kuipers

Benjamin Kuipers (born 7 April 1949) is an American computer scientist at the University of Michigan,[1] known for his research in qualitative simulation.

He began his doctoral studies in pure mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In January 2009, he moved to the University of Michigan, where he is now a professor of Computer Science and Engineering.

[4][5] Kuipers is also well known for his personal stance against accepting military funding for his research.
