Bert A. Betts

Bert Angus Betts[1] (August 16, 1923 – May 28, 2014) is an American politician, accountant, and businessman who served as California state treasurer from 1959 to 1967.

Betts was born and raised in La Mesa, California.

Betts served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.

[2] Betts became a CPA in 1950 and later served as a member of the Lemon Grove, California School Board.

Betts later worked in the mortgage industry and operated a ranch in the Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento.
