Bertalan Karlovszky

Bertalan Karlovszky (24 October 1858, Munkács – 11 April 1938, Budapest) was a Hungarian painter.

However, he spent most of his time in class making drawings of his instructors and fellow students, rather than listening to the lectures.

The officer was so impressed that he spoke to Bertalan's mother and suggested that he be given artistic training.

[1] After three years as a cadet, he was sent to the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, where he studied under Otto Seitz.

They became a common sight in shop windows and he sought out connections with American art dealers.
