Beverly Chester-Burton

[needs update] Beverly Denise Chester-Burton (born October 3, 1961) is an American politician who has served as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives since January 1, 2023.

She represents Kentucky's 44th House district.

Outside of politics, she is a teacher in Jefferson County Public Schools.

[1][2] On November 6, 2018, she was elected as the first African-American mayor of Shively, Kentucky, with 97.8% of the vote after serving 10 years on the city council.
