Bezděkov (Klatovy District)

Bezděkov (German: Besdiekau) is a municipality and village in Klatovy District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic.

Bezděkov consists of six municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] Bezděkov is located about 5 km (3 mi) west of Klatovy and 40 km (25 mi) south of Plzeň.

The highest point is at 695 m (2,280 ft) above sea level, below the summit of Velký Bítov hill.

In 1854–1856, the castle was rebuilt into its current Gothic Revival form by the architect Vojtěch Ignác Ullmann.

After its capacity became insufficient, the Church of Saint Wenceslaus was built in the centre of the village in 1899–1901.
