Bill Brown (New Zealand politician)

William Henry Brown (18 June 1899 – 16 October 1967) was a New Zealand politician of the National Party.

[2] Brown first contested the Palmerston North electorate at the 1957 election against the incumbent, Philip Skoglund of the Labour Party.

However, in the 1960 election, Brown beat Skoglund by the narrow majority of 123 votes.

[3] Brown died on 16 October 1967 in Kaiapoi while speaking at a function after the opening a section of the Christchurch Northern Motorway.
