In 2015, Parker was added to the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
After graduating from Canastota High School[4] in 1945,[5] Parker joined the United States Army.
[2] In 1949, Parker helped create WNBF-TV,[2] where he hosted a show on its first day.

[8] Parker died on August 19, 2019, and was buried with military honors.
