Billy Tuft

Willam Tuft (1874[1] – after 1906) was an English professional association football player in the years prior to the First World War.

[3] He made 137 League appearances for the "Robins" operating at both right and left back.

[4] After 5 appearances at left back he was replaced by Joe Cottle in the Second Division title winning 1905–06 season.

[4] Tuft had a benefit match on 25 Feb 1907 Bristol City v Southampton raising £140 before retiring in the summer and returning to Bilston.

[5] Wally Tuft then joined Darlaston and was signed by Bristol City in 1900 but never played a game for the Robins.
