Bjarne Aagaard Strøm

Bjarne Aagaard Strøm (29 May 1920 – 3 January 2008) was a Norwegian newspaper editor and politician for the Liberal Party.

After World War II reached Norway in 1940 with the German invasion and subsequent occupation, Strøm joined the Norwegian resistance movement at the age of 22.

Already in August 1942 he was arrested by the Nazi authorities for his connection to Milorg, and was imprisoned at Kristiansand prison and Arkivet.

[4] Strøm also served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Aust-Agder during the term 1965–1969.

[5] He chaired Norges Venstrepresselag and Sosialliberalt Presselag, and was a board member of the Norwegian News Agency.
