Black Donald Lake

Black Donald Lake is a reservoir lake in the Township of Greater Madawaska, Renfrew County, and the Township of North Frontenac, Frontenac County, in Eastern Ontario, Canada.

The major outflow is also the Madawaska River, which flows over the dam at the Ontario Power Generation Mountain Chute Generating Station (hydroelectric)[6] to Norcan Lake at the southeast.

The settlement of Black Donald[7] appears in the Natural Resources Canada Place names database and displays as being located on the southeast shore of the lake at the intersection of Chimo Road South and Far Side Lane.

The town of Black Donald was flooded after the construction of Mountain Chute dam and no longer exists.

[9] Renfrew County Road 65 skirts the northern and eastern shores of the lake.
