Blackpool Football Club is an English association football club based in Blackpool, Lancashire, that currently competes in the EFL Championship.
The club was founded in 1887 and became founder members of the Lancashire League during the 1889–90 season.
The team was elected to The Football League in 1896 and remained there, with the exception of the 1898–99 season where they failed to gain re-election, until the club was promoted to the Premier League in 2010.
Blackpool were relegated back to the Football League for the following season where they've remained to the present.
