Blythe Baird

If My Body Could Speak (2019) Blythe Baird (born 5 August 1996) is an American poet, author, and actress from Chicago, Illinois.

She eventually pursued television and commercial roles, and she has appeared in projects such as Divergent (Neil Burger), The UnMiracle (Auslynn Films), Disconnected (Tribeca Flashpoint), and In Plain Sight (USA).

Upon Baird’s return to school, she became interested in poetry when poet Sierra DeMulder, who was brought in to perform, presented a poem on anorexia.

On February 5, 2019, Baird’s second book, If My Body Could Speak, a collection of poems she wrote from ages 17–21, was published through Button Poetry.

In her writing, Baird discusses topics such as mental health, eating disorders, sexuality, healing, and trauma.
