He was the Swedish reporter covering the Norrmalmstorg robbery in 1973 and the West German Embassy siege in Stockholm in 1975.
[2] On 11 September 2003 he was the first reporter to announce in media that Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh had died from injuries sustained after an attack earlier that same day.
In 2007 he was awarded the Stora journalistpriset for his journalism work.
He spent his last year at a nursing home in Vagnhärad and died on 12 October 2017,[6] 6 days before his 79th birthday.
