Bob MacKinnon Jr.

Robert Charles MacKinnon Jr.[1] (born September 24, 1960)[1][2] is an American basketball coach.

[3] Previously, he served as the head coach of the Colorado 14ers, Springfield Armor, Los Angeles D-Fenders,[4] and Texas Legends in the NBA G League.

He was also head coach at the United States Merchant Marine Academy for two seasons during which he led the team to the NCAA Tournament Division III tournament twice and won coach of the year in 1999.

[7] Beginning in 2008, he was a head coach mostly in the NBA D-League/G League except for one season in China.

He coached three different professional teams in his career: the American Basketball Association's Spirits of St. Louis, and the NBA's Buffalo Braves and New Jersey Nets.
