Bob Thorpe (outfielder)

Benjamin Robert Thorpe (November 19, 1926 – October 30, 1996)[1] was an American professional baseball player who appeared in Major League Baseball (MLB), primarily as a right fielder, for the Boston / Milwaukee Braves (1951–1953).

Born in Caryville, Florida, he threw and batted right-handed, stood 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall and weighed 190 pounds (86 kg).

In MLB, he got into 110 total games played; his 83 career hits included nine doubles and three triples, as well as his three homers.

During his minor-league career, he reached double figures in home runs in 11 different seasons.
