Bob Thurbon

He played professionally as a halfback in the National Football League (NFL) with the Steagles and Card-Pitt and the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) with Buffalo Bisons.

Thurbon was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and played college football at the University of Pittsburgh.

He served as the head football coach at Edinboro State Teachers College—now known as PennWest Edinboro—from 1956 to 1959, compiling a record of 15–16–2.
