After Bhoumik, Md Abdul Hannan (former Assistant Professor of Jhenaidah Cadet College) was appointed Principal in 1980.

In the same year, the then President of Bangladesh, Hussain Muhammad Ershad, came to visit the institution and gave a huge amount of donation for its infrastructural development.

Bogura Cantonment Public School and College is also an educational institution established and managed by the Bangladesh Army.

For the convenience of conducting educational activities, the classes of the institution have been divided into two shifts, Morning and Day.

There are 177 teaching staff working in the entire institution including the school and the college branch.

Besides, the Commander of 111 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Md Raju Ahmed, SGP, ndc, afwc, psc, M phil, is the Chairman of the institution and Colonel Md Masud Rana, PSC, PHD is serving as the Principal.

Club-wise separate ‘Hobby Society’ Classes are held for students in the two periods following Tiffin every Thursday of the week.

The entire campus area of Bogura Cantonment Public School and College is 14.5 acres (0.059 km2).

There is also a mosque, a canteen, an auditorium, a multi-purpose hall, a Shaheed Minar, a parents' rest house and a basketball ground inside the campus.

In 2022, the college branch of the institution became Runners-up in the Inter Cantonment Parliamentary Debate and was ranked 1st in the overall results.

[10] In 2021, two students of Bogura Cantonment Public School and College, Omar Jafar and Sneha Mahjabin, won the first and second prizes in the World Quiz Competition of the International Virtual Debate Festival, held in Bangladesh and organised by National Debate Federation Bangladesh (NDFBD).

Omar Jafar and Sneha Mahjabin secured the first and second position among 400 students from 36 countries of the world respectively.

[14] In 2024, a team of young students from Bogura Cantonment Public School and College achieved the 1st place in the school-based quiz competition 'Sobjanta', aired on Duronto TV.

They achieved the winners' title by defeating Holycross Girls' High School in the final.

[15] In public exams like JSC, SSC and HSC examinations, the institution has stood first in 'Rajshahi Education Board' several times.
