Described by Santschi in 1923, the species is endemic to various European countries, including Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine.
