Bremen (/ˈbriːmɪn/) is a home rule-class city in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, in the United States.
[2] The city was settled by German immigrants who named it after Bremen, Germany.
[4] In the late hours of December 10, 2021, a violent tornado tore through the town, causing major damage and killing 11 residents.
Some of the worst damage in Bremen occurred along Bethlehem Cemetery Road, where a row of four homes were obliterated, with debris scattered and wind-rowed long distances through fields across the street.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2), all land.
