He missed the 2004 baseball season while undergoing Tommy John surgery, and transferred to Delta State, where he returned to the bullpen full-time.
In his final college baseball season, Leach pitched in 24 games, managing a 1–1 record and 1.74 earned run average, with seven saves.
[1] Leach made his minor league debut in 2005 with the Ogden Raptors and split 2006 with the Columbus Catfish and the Vero Beach Dodgers.
[2][3] Leach made his major league debut with one scoreless inning of relief against the Washington Nationals on May 6, 2009.
On December 21, 2010, he was designated for assignment by the Dodgers and signed with the Yokohama BayStars of Nippon Professional Baseball.
[7] On March 17, 2011, in the wake of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami and the resulting nuclear radiation scare, Leach left the country.
