[citation needed] The Brick House brand was introduced in 1937 by Julius Caesar Newman, the founder of the J.C. Newman Cigar Company.
The name was selected to honor his family's residence, a brick house situated in the Hungarian countryside.
Initially, the earliest Brick House cigars were fashioned using Cuban tobacco.
Despite experiencing a decline in popularity, the brand underwent a revival in 2009 under the stewardship of third-generation owners Eric and Bobby Newman.
They transitioned to employing Nicaraguan tobaccos in their blends.
