Brighton, Kenosha County, Wisconsin

The unincorporated communities of Brighton and Klondike are located within the town.

The first settlers in Brighton, a Dr. Johnson and a Mr. Wightman, arrived almost simultaneously in 1838.

[5] As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 1,450 people, 504 households, and 402 families residing in the town.

There were 524 housing units at an average density of 14.6 per square mile (5.6/km2).

15.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
