Brinkworth (postcode 5464) is a town in the Mid North region of South Australia with a current population of 243.

It is 31 km (19 mi) north west of the regional centre of Clare.

Both were originally built as narrow gauge 1,067 mm (3 ft 6 in).

These lines were converted to broad gauge 1,600 mm (5 ft 3 in) in 1927.

Brinkworth is in the local government area of Wakefield Regional Council, the state electoral district of Frome and the federal division of Grey.
