She won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics in the 10 m platform diving event with a score of 366.50, behind Chen Ruolin of China Nicknamed Britt, Broben was born on 23 November 1995 in Gold Coast, Queensland.

That year, she competed at the 10-metre platform at the USA Grand Prix, Fort Lauderdale, where she won a gold medal.
