Harold Bruce Allsopp FSA FRIBA (4 July 1912 – 22 February 2000) was a British architectural historian, educator and publisher.
[5] He served in the Royal Engineers during World War II and taught at Leeds School of Art from 1935 to 1946.
[1] From 1946 he taught at Newcastle University School of Architecture (originally part of Durham University),[7] where he held a variety of posts, including senior lecturer and director of architectural studies.
[8][6] In 1957 he was elected a fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
[9] Allsopp was a co-founder of the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain in 1955 and served as its first chair.
