Bruce Frederick Edward Jenks OBE served as director of the Bureau for Resources and Strategic Partnerships of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) 1995 to 2009/2010.
[1] Jenks holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Oxford University and Master of Arts degrees from Cambridge University (United Kingdom) and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Washington, DC.
He was appointed by the UN Secretary-General as the first director of the United Nations Office and UNDP Representative in Brussels in 1995.
[1] Jenks was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2011 New Year Honours for services to the UNDP.
[3] Jenks has been an adjunct professor at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs since 2010.
