Bryan Appleyard

Bryan Appleyard CBE (born 24 August 1951, Manchester) is a British journalist and author.

Appleyard was educated at Bolton School[1] and King's College, Cambridge.

He worked at The Times and as a freelance journalist and has written for The New York Times, Vanity Fair, London's The Daily Telegraph, The Spectator and the New Statesman.

[4] Appleyard has been selected as Feature Writer of the Year three times as well as Interviewer of the Year in the British Press Awards and he is a former fellow of the World Economic Forum.

[2] Appleyard was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to journalism and the arts.
