Malcolm Buie Seawell Jr. (born July 8, 1937) is an American professor at the University of Denver.
Born in North Carolina, he is the son of the state's former Attorney General, Malcolm Buie Seawell.
[1] Seawell earned a bachelor's degree from Davidson College and a master's degree in Theology from Richmond, Virginia's Union Seminary, after which he served as a Presbyterian minister in Alabama and North Carolina.
After earning a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver, Seawell practiced law in Colorado.
He unsuccessfully ran for the Democratic Party nomination for the United States Senate in 1989–1990.
