Burnside is a town in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, in the United States.
The town was named after civil war general Ambrose Burnside.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 529 people, 197 households, and 144 families residing in the town.
There were 202 housing units at an average density of 5.8 per square mile (2.2/km2).
22.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
