Calectasia browneana

Calectasia browneana, commonly known as blue tinsel lily, is a plant in the family Dasypogonaceae growing as a spreading, perennial, tufted herb.

Each leaf blade is 8.3–15.2 x 0.2–0.4 mm tapering to a short, sharp point on the end and densely covered with fine hairs.

In the centre of the star are six yellow stamens forming a tube which turns orange-red with age.

[1] This species of blue tinsel lily is uncommon and found in only two, separate areas of the south-west of Western Australia - the Coorow-Eneabba region and near Kalbarri.

[1] Calectasia browneana is classified as "Priority Two" by the Western Australian government Department of Parks and Wildlife[2] meaning that is poorly known and from one or a few locations.
