Gael Campbell-Young

Gael Jean Campbell-Young (née Campbell; born 1973, Carletonville) is a South African-born plant taxonomist and actor.

[5] She was one of three co-authors of a proposal presented to the International Association for Plant Taxonomy to conserve the name Spartium capense (Leguminosae), [8] a name that was in use from at least the early 1800s.

[11]) Campbell-Young emigrated to Australia in 2007[7] and worked as Biodiversity Consultant for Ecological Associates (Pty) Ltd in Adelaide and editor of the Australian Systematic Botany Newsletter.

[5] At the end of July 2018, Campbell-Young briefly returned to South Africa to attend the Fynbos Forum in Rawsonville, Western Cape.

[13] She was employed as Project officer from Sep 2018 for Policy and licensing at the Environmental Protection Authority in Victoria, Australia and from February 2019 for Vicamp Supply Review for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
