Capers Williamson

Capers Williamson (born October 13, 1992) is an American athlete and Olympian who throws the javelin.

[1] Raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Thompson is a 2014 graduate of Wade Hampton High School.

[2] Williamson competed in the NCAA for the football and track and field teams at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina from 2010 to 2016.

In his first full season as a professional, Williamson placed 12th at the 2017 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

He started to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and was sober for 90 days when he threw 79.07 meters in 2024 – at the time the #1 mark in the country that year.
