René Paul Raymond Capuron (20 October 1921[1] – 24 August 1971) was a French botanist.
Capuron was responsible for an extensive amount of work on the tree flora of Madagascar.
Highlights of his work include: Capuron is commemorated in the scientific name of a species of chameleon, Calumma capuroni, which is endemic to Madagascar.
