Carel le Roux (born 31 August 1972) is a retired South African shot putter.

He achieved success as an athlete, winning the gold medal at the 1993 African Championships, securing fourth place at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, and placing fifteenth at the 1995 World Indoor Championships with a personal best put of 19.11 meters, accomplished in February 1995 in Pretoria.

In his academic career, Professor Carel le Roux graduated from medical school in Pretoria, South Africa, and completed specialized training in metabolic medicine at renowned institutions such as St Bartholomew’s Hospitals and the Hammersmith Hospitals.
