Carl Stange

Carl Stange (7 March 1870 in Hamburg – 5 December 1959 in Göttingen) was a German Protestant theologian and philosopher.

In his work, he mainly dealt with issues of ethics and the philosophy of religion.

[1] He studied theology, history and philosophy at the universities of Halle, Göttingen, Leipzig and Jena, obtaining his habilitation for systematic theology in 1895 at Halle.

In 1912 he was appointed professor of systematic and practical theology at the University of Göttingen.

He was founder (1909) and editor of the journal Zeitschrift für Systematische Theologie.
