Carol Jantsch

Carolyn Mae "Carol" Jantsch (born on March 8, 1985)[1] is an American tuba player.

She is the daughter of a medical doctor and a Kenyon College vocal-music teacher, Nancy Jantsch.

[4] While attending university, Jantsch auditioned for the New York Philharmonic and The Philadelphia Orchestra.

She won the Philadelphia position of Principal Tuba in February 2006,[5] appointed by music director Christoph Eschenbach.

[7] Jantsch is also a noted Ultimate frisbee player, and won a tuba throwing competition.
