Carolina Duarte

Carolina Duarte (born 8 January 1990) is a track and field athlete from Portugal competing mainly sprint events.

Duarte began her athletics career competing in mainstream track and field events.

In 2016, she was selected for the Portugal national team that competed at the IPC Athletics European Championships in Grosseto.

In her first event, the 200 metres, she was edged into second place by France's Nantenin Keïta, who set a championship record to take the gold medal.

On the penultimate day she competed in the 100 metres, and despite not running a personal best, Duarte set a championship record with a time of 12.87s.
